Today’s podcast episode is from Criminal, a true crime podcast telling "stories of people who've done wrong, been wronged, or gotten caught somewhere in the middle." This episode is about a woman named Paulette Cooper who decided to stowaway on a cruise ship in 1969. Her theory was that the best way to go unnoticed was to act like everything was normal, so she spent the entire seven-day cruise hanging out with guests and pretending she belonged there. That was all well and good until she had to find a place to sleep. The story is a fun caper, told by the woman herself. For all of us who have been cooped up in our homes and apartments, it is a welcome escape.

🧐 You Should Know
I’ll always give you a heads up if there is anything in the podcast that might surprise or worry kids. Given that Criminal is a true crime podcast, some of the ads for other related podcasts at the start and middle can be a bit gruesome or violent sounding (think: murderers, break-ins, etc). They are easy to skip. There is talk of booze and getting drunk on the cruise at one or two points in the story.
