Welcome to Ping and Echo, a daily newsletter that shares one amazing podcast episode guaranteed to be a great listen for kids and their families. Each newsletter includes links to articles, videos, and activities related to the podcast so you can turn every episode into an adventure.
Today’s episode is from the Pants on Fire podcast, which recently changed its name to The Big Fib (more on that below). The podcast pairs a kid with two adults for a quiz show style exploration of a specific topic. The twist is that one of the adults is an expert on the episode’s topic but the other adult is faking it. Through a series of questions the kid tries to figure out who is the real expert and who is fibbing. The hosts keep things moving fast and full of sound effects, and talk with the kids about sorting fact from fiction. We have loved this podcast for over a year, but we are including it today because the hosts just announced that Disney has turned the podcast into a show on Disney+ (that is why they changed the name). So you can listen to this episode and then explore lots more online and on TV.
